mbr - cleaning the onboard mic???

hello, i've used the mbr for about two years now. the whole thing is starting to look abused, definitely worth it's weight in gold - creatively speaking! however, the onboard mic seems to have lost it's volume. i wonder if it needs a cleaning? or some kind of service, has anyone tried this??? thanx!

Buy a can of compressed air from your local electronics store. The same one you would use to clean out the dust from your PC. I clean mine out every month as dust collection really effects the quality of the mic IMO.
