So... Just when i think I am all out ideas for the Unplugged Fest, I am messing around with the MBR trying to get a better handle on recording vox. So I am just humming away checking different setting when a song pops into my head. It'd been awhile since I heard the song, but it was one of my favorites from Sevendust. After listening to it I thought "There's no way this will work as an acoustic song. So I sat rewinding the song over and over to figure out the chords. Once I did that, the rest kinda just fell into place.

3 Acoustic Tracks
1 Bass Track
1 Main Vox Track
1 2nd Vox Track
Used JAZZ kit for the drums
Mastered using a tweaked Live Mix

hopefully this came out okay...

Halem

You turned it in a very nice and not aggressive song, but didn't loose the spirit, good job! Chords sequence that you picked works great and vocals brought me back to the original immediately.

You and your acoustic can do wonderful things. You should pull up a stool somewhere, because these posts are excellent.

Yet Another Great Cover Sai!!  Not familiar with Sevendust, but this sounds great!

If your not playing the club scene solo man, you should be - just take these songs that you've covered unplugged here, and make them your 1st set dude!

Not heard this before either but I really like the way this was played and produced. I like the way the one guitar is 'ticking' like a metronome between two notes and sets up a contra rhythm with the rhythm guitar. Great vocal too!

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

The counter rhythm was a last minute thing. I was mixing and getting ready to master, and it sounded like it was missing something. And I need to cover up a mistake that I made that is now not noticeable  heh

Halem -
I was really wary of loosing the spirit of the song, which is one of the reasons I almost didn't do it. The "screams" were the hardest part to make a decision about. Being re-arranged for acoustic, and recording at 2am, the screams had to go become whispered "screams"  heh

I am actually pretty happy with the way it came out. I'm usually so self-deprecating when it comes to recording.
