this is a bit of a departure from our usual working process. this started out as a solo effort but i ran it by mike and tim as a possible jemima's kite song. so thats what it became.
basically i took my juno di out for a test run then mike added an off the wall bass (panned full left) then tim threw in some snazzy guitar (panned full right), i have lost count of how many tracks where used in this and there have been so many mixes that my ears are frazzed. all the parts where recorded on our seperate micro brs but mixed in cubase sx2. mike is gonna replace the drums with live drums from his electronic roland kit. but work commitments mean that wont be for a week or so, so here is what we have so far.

here are the lyrics, the song is dedicated to a fantastic person who knows who he is.

Just there
Not here
Just there

So close
So far
So near
So where you are

You take it as you find it
You see it as it is
You're right there when we need you
Just there

It's so
Not high
Not low

So loose
So tight
So sharp
So right

You put the pieces altogether
You put them in there place
You put the pieces altogether
Just there

Just there
Not here
Just there

So close
So far
So near
So where you are

Just there
Just there
Just there

Great feel and songwriting, love all the snyth sounds and the reverb guitar. The vox are ORH trademark always excellent.
Just my idea the drums would sound great with a more electronic feel, but who am I?
Loved it anyway, just going to play it again.

mike intends to redo the drums with his roland electronic kit when he gets a chance, so you are on the same wavelength side effect.

Great atmosphere on this song, ORH...the shimmering guitars...the longing...I like it a lot!  Nice lyrics, as usual. :)

Very organic sounding, very together, whats the right word...So loose, So tight, So sharp, So right, somwthing like that.  Its a work of minds and hearts as one.
