Thanks again chaps for all the positive comments.

Here is the grand finale to the painting pieces: based on the big city pic Tharek put up somewhere...

Defo needs a big orchestra but would cost a few grand to hire one! :)

I like this 'suite' very much... i'm going to search the other parts of the opera!

Now this is interesting. I like the discordant sound of traffic battling with Big Ben's melodic chimes. And I'm very fond of those little string stabs. It's a very listenable avant-garde urban soundscape... composing of the highest standard.

I've never been to London. But now I feel that it must
be a beautiful city, at night anyway!
This is my new fav now!!!
This is going to my mp3 player right after I finish typing

I Must listen much, much more...

Save your money. It sounds like you have an orchestra in the room with you.
Nice piece

Reminds me Floyd's Atom Heart Mother suite and other Ron Geezin's stuff. Very interesting harmony, very unusual and sounds great!

More great work. This is really very atmospheric and creates an excellent mental image for me of London by night. You are a very mature composer and as I've said before, very talented. Really enjoyed this.

I love the organ/keyboard towards the end. Reminded me of the Mellotron on Genesis' "Watcher of the Skies", one of my favourite pieces of music.

Cheers,

Nigel

Another beautiful composition, Owen. Very dynamic. Great contrasting voices throughout. The power of the organ and horns, the delicate celeste, and the punctuation of the strings and drums. Paints a great picture - stark and bold. Nice work.

There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.
