Me and the MBR again. A sixties-tinged rocker with my Hofner semi and a P-Bass turned up loud.

Grabbed me from the start harmonies are just great, guitar and bass really drive it all along just excellent.

You and the MBR again have pulled off another great song. I really like the bass line although I may disagree with the "loud" part - it's nicely balanced but you might to try it higher as it would really drive the song in a slightly different way. Really enjoyed it all, great melodies and chorus, hooked me all the way. Superb.

Cheers,

Nigel

Oh YES Tim, This is another cool rocker...
I love it. And downloadable tabut!
Thank You Tim!
A new Greeny song posted is ALWAYS a highlight to
my day. I really enjoy your songs so much.
As I am typing this comment I am listening [of course], on
my little computer speaks... So, I am excited that I can
download it and listen on my [only stereo I currently own],
Truck stereo. From the other comments the bass must
be a rocker too... Can't ever hear the bass on these speaks...LOL
Congrats on another great song.
Keep rocking!

Thanks! I like the thought of this one blasting out of truck speakers across the Atlantic. Until I joined this forum, I'd never have imagined something like that happening. I'm glad there's no such thing as geographical or musical boundaries on here.

Have a great day!

King Canute? Wasn't he the one who was determined to stop the tide by his royal command? I remember reading about him in my English history class way back when I was in school. You probably mentioned that in your lyrics, but I usually listen to the sound of the vocals with the music first, before listening again to really analyze the lyrics. Doing that now as I type...

A real rebel rouser, Tim - really enjoy these rockers you make.  8)

Thanks! Yes... he apparently tried to hold back the tide with his divine Kingly power (as if!!!). I switched the empahsis of the tide to 'love'.

Nobody is sure if it really happened, but it was supposed to have happened at a sleepy little coastal town called Bosham, in West Sussex, England. It's very local to me, so I've spent a lot of time there watching the sea come in. It's funny watching tourists leave their cars in the flood zone, because the tide really comes in fast! It's a beautiful place. This is shore in question. You can walk right across the harbour whan the tide is out...
