I agree. Wasn't expecting this at all when I saw techno above. Great take on a classic. I was kinda waiting on some stabby sounding Billy Gibbons guitar chords :), but it was still a great listen. Cool Stuff!
Mach...I tried to throw some guitar in there, but I'm not much of a guitar player and couldn't get anything to work with this piece. Feel free to add...

Also... to all of the Kaossilator folks out there. One thing that really got me frustrated was trying to line up a loop that I created using the REC/Play feature.

Here is what I ended up doing:

1. Record the loop using the Kaossilator 8 or 16 beats... either way I got the same results.

2. Ready the track on the BR at the location you want add the recorded loop (This is where I'm having issues)

3. With the loop playing on the Kaossilator... start recording with the BR at the desired point of the loop.

I ended up recording more individual tracks rather than using the loop function on the KAOS because I  couldn't get the tracks to line up. Therefore this peice took me forever.

At any rate... I really like the Kaossilator... It's a great addition to the collection. IMO midi would be a really nice feature.

BTW thanks for all of the kind comments guys. The wife really liked it (My valentines day gift to her) a success. Got some more posts comming... check out "The Lemon Song" shortly. Thanks again all.

Your wife should b proud of you  you demonstrated great skill in
using your tools and vocals. enjoyed the memory of this song.
take care Neil.               Music has no boundries...............

ah well.......... might as well chuck my old Roland keyboard out now. The sounds on this are great and well thought out, I can't get anywhere near this with mine. You have a modern groove going on here but it is still commercial to the older generation like me. Nice one.

Great stuff! It is REALLY hard to play the Kaossilator like an instrument and play "real" songs on it, it is much better for beat making and improvised madness. You did incredibly well here to produce this, as you describedm trying to get a precise performance across different parts of a song is really hard. You really need a Kaossilator pro - this would have been a lot easier on that!

Very well done indeed, I am blown away by this! Kaossilate ON!

Cheers,

Holy shit this is sweet! Awesome vocals, and I'm stunned that you pulled this off with the kaossilator! out-frickin-standing!

I'm not one to get really wordy when describing something, but this is definitely one of my favorite pieces on the site.

Super cool Rat-aTat!

This is a seriously funky piece of music.
Not quite sure what a Kaosillator is exactly, but what you made with it sounds pretty cool to me.
It ain't pretty being easy.

Okay to Cover

Thanks Tony... means a lot... really... I was wandering how the KAOS stuff would be recieved. Not my usual style... bein a rocker and all. But I have to say... since I'm not that good of a guitar player... this is probably the best instrument for me. It's easy to play... doesn't usually get in the way of creative process.

Saying it again "I LIKE IT". Korg has my vote for synth sounds... I think I may even beg the wife for a Kaoss Pro...

Thanks Vann... means a lot. Only wish I could get as funky on the guitar as you bro.
