Hooper, this is just amazing! The 12-string is perfect for this, and the harmonies... what can I say that hasn't been said. Stupendous! (I don't think that's been said). Very polished and professional (and well sung). Nice bit of delay, EQ'd and mixed beautifully. Great work!

There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Top notch!!,  You got it going on Hooper!!  One of my fav's

Satchwood

Hooper, I am still amazed at the quality of recording here!!  And of course, like already posted, fabulous guitars and sensation vocals!!

How the heck do you get such a clean recording using the on-board mic?

I can't detect any mic noise or distortion at all - how the heck do you do that?

Is your MBR mic that clean recording or are you doing some sort of clean-up or noise reduction filtering, or what?

I mean I can't even hear you pushing the record button............I could sure use a lesson here or some advice....incredible!

This sounds as if was recorded in a full studio! Unbelievably good production and the performance is just as good, those harmonies are just amazing!

Wow what a fantastic recording...so true to the original!

I always wondered why they went with miles in the UK...I guess "I can see for kilometres and kilometres" just didn't sound right!

Redler

This sounds really good! So well presented!!! One my favourites from The Who...

I'm a great believer in only doing original material and I was getting ready to hear a poor rehashing of a Who classic...and I don't give compliments lightly...But....this is fantastic on all levels, musicianship, vocals, production. I feel I'm in the little league compared to this major league performance. Excellent.

Flash Harry

Oh man Hoop! you have excelled yourself here!

the harmonies are superb and the guitars are brilliantly recorded and played.

How do you get it this good?......  Oh yes I know, pure raw unadulterated talent.

It's a fantastic version. If the Who (who?) had produced this at this quality they would have been chuffed.

Pete Townshend has written some great songs. You have covered one of them brilliantly.

I'm in awe.

We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different

Thanks a lot for the kind comments, everybody!
Really makes my day.   :)

Satchwood- When using the on-board mic I only use patches with the Vocal Multi algorithm because that way you have access to the Noise Supressor.  I like to use ForNylon for voices and Ag LoCut for acoustic guitar as starting points and turn the Noise Supressor ON.  First crank up the Input Sensitivity as far as you can without the [over] light blinking on.  Then you can adjust the Noise Supressor's Threshold setting up a bit more if needed to quiet the noise.

Gritter- Why did this UK band sing about miles instead of kilometers?  Heh, I never thought about it but that's a very good question!    :D

But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.
