This is the near-final mix.  We just have to add the lead bit and that's a wrap.

I wrote the song but there are three of us with co-writing credit at the moment.  I wanted to let the guy mixing the song to choose the lead.  There are two pretty good leads so far and I've forwarded them.  He's asked for a few more "auditions" if you guys don't mind.

Here is the near final mix lacking only the lead bit.

Yes, please send them all in.  I'm even working up my own lead.  I'm not so sure it's gonna make it.  Management may or may not be the right word, lol, but he's done a heck of a lot with this tune because I just gave it all over to him so I can't complain.

I should post the metamorphosis of this song when it's completed.  It really amazes me.

Thanks for your contribution so far, my friend.

I really enjoy playing this so 8)
I have sweetened my Audition tone (and Playing) :D
I have taken the liberty of adding an intro which I think works but of course is optional...
What do you think?

Sorry for the delay on uploading just the guitar track, but I couldn't figure out how to upload a streaming track, without using Soundclick, so I used Soundclick:

Gulp!  Didn't listen to any of the other posts, so I wouldn't get any preconceived ideas. Here's my badly played lap steel anyway. May work as a backing to any of the other real guitarists, I dunno. Enjoyed doing it anyway. No laughing at the back.... ;D ;D ;D

Man, you guys are really going to town on these leads! I've sent them on.   The only one I haven't sent in is from thouston.  I can't get it in Mp3 form to forward.  You can send it to me, though at "williamtfisher@gmail.com" and I'll pass it on.

This is my own audition.  Keep in mind that this is a ROUGH cut.
