I was introduced to this tune by Great White. They do a pretty cool hair-metal version (See Great White - Substitute).

Nice version, I used to play this is a band when I was 14 (not that long after it was released...). The bongos are a nice touch, don't tell Keith Moon......

Not too sure about the way the words scan with the music on this one.
I know the original intimately ... and perhaps that's the problem.

However I really like your voice .. kind of Lloyd Cole meets Lou Reed.
I'm going to visit your SoundClick site & listen to some of your the other songs now.
