This is about how a guitar pedal could eventually turn into a napkin holder. Or not...

A song about Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Not sure how it came about, but I was Skyping with T&T yesterday for a bit, and this is what happened after a little looping, strumming, chanting and ranting.

The lineup:

Rant 1: Launched
Rant 2: Tony W
Chorus vox: Tharek(Osckilo)
Bass: Launched
MBR Patterns: Launched
Rhythm Git: Launched
Lead(L): Tony "Iommi" Wells
Lead(R): Launched

Peace,

Mark

The Words:

GAS Attack

I remember buying a bass compression pedal
And then not having it do much for me, because I sucked
It wasn't the pedal it was me
I really thought it could help me play better
But it didn't
So I stopped using it
And eventually stuffed it somewhere
And then I moved. And I brought it along with me
And then I moved again. And I brought it along with me
I've dragged that GD pedal everywhere
And then I put it up on craigslist for like 5 bucks
And didn't one phone call
I still have it
It's been on my kitchen table for a year

Cash Money, Burning a hole in Peoples pockets
Have fire, To Acquire, the gear
So you are rocking

I went to guitar center I had money in hand
I wanted an acoustic. I got an acoustic
I also picked up a Micro BR
I tried to learn to use it, but I had to join a forum
on this forum I learned about all sorts of things I could buy
Damn did I start buying.
A fender Strat. A Gibson SG
A POD X3 Live. A Kustom amp. An ibanez bass.
A peavey amp
I started going broke
I turned to craigslist
I kept buying
My rents late

Cash Money, Burning a hole in Peoples pockets
Have fire, To Acquire, the gear
So you are rocking!

Built me a little shed out back
I think I could fit at least 50 guitars in there
Maybe a couple of amps, I don't know

Now that was fun! A theme song for the GAS Telethon. Great work!
