Great Scot! nice version...love the flute...nicely stripped down - more unplugged than the original.

Tangled Wires

Great production and performance, and that flute is the bee's knees!

All recording, mixing, mastering on the Micro-BR

* 12-string acoustic guitar (Seagull)
* Cajon hand drum (homemade)
* Soprano recorder (a plastic one by Yamaha)
* Electric bass guitar- miced the amp cabinet using the on-board mic.

I had intended to do my own vocals on this but it just wasn't sounding good.  So, I asked Jim if he would give it a shot.

The magic of collaboration!  Great voice and great interpretation of these fantastic lyrics by Al Stewart.  And I also learned that Al and ORH have common roots in Glasgow... so I guess it was meant to be.   ;)

I always enjoyed Al Stewart's songs on FM radio back in the Seventies. This is a sweet collaboration: excellent performances and pristine recording.
