Six Blade Knife - Dire Straits

Recently bought an Aria SGT 004 for £26 from Ebay. Needed a fair bit of fettling, and the fret's still need a proper levelling .. i just gave it a quick setup and took down a couple of high frets, but it is playable now so I though I would record something with it. Plan to change the electrics as the tone pots do sweet bugger all, and the pickups and scratchplate for better quality in black. Assuming I don't mess up the neck the completed project will cost less than £100, and should be way better than a basic Squire ... its better than an Affinity already!

That was awsome. I'm a big Dire Straits fan since Sultans of Swing. Could you please post the settings, including the mic?

Ummm.... I did not take any notes here, was just a quick bash at it. Drums were Rock4 Jazz kit. Vox Vocal Delay1 with some compression. Lead was ST Clean I think, that is what is set on the MBR anyway, and it was the last thing I did. Think the rhythm parts were SuperCln with the delay switched off, and with delay and chorus off, but not sure. I bounced the 2 rhythm parts and bassline with Soft Compression, addad the solo's and vox and mastered with Live Mix. Loaded the MP3 into Audacity to tidy the start and end, and remastered it with Ozone CD master with excitner and widening. Ish, lol!
