Quote from: 64Guitars on January 26, 2010, 10:59:35 PM"Vox" is just another word for "vocals". It's used by lazy people who find big long words like "vocals" too difficult to type.  ::)

LOL, I see... which is better?

Almost all my vox are recorded with the mbr built-in mic and I'm really happy with the sound, most mbr-users here do the same!!

Well, that's what Satchwood told me to get too.

Too funny. I was about to ask about ( Vox ) myself.
Hey I don't know who actually does it but I would like to thank you guys for featuring my song Turn Around. I've gotten some helpful responses from the other members.

My first thought was, That won't work. How will he keep rhythm and pitch?

Then I thought a little more and began to think how interesting and unexpected the results could be to be provide a composer with vocals but no harmonic accompaniment.

I'm looking forward to see this play out.

To be truthful if you have the micro BR you don't need anything else.  I have the sony ECM-DS70P condenser mic and rarely use it for my voice.  I got yelled at for using it. (was looking for the post, https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=5143.0  read down a few  "Jesus Christ, girl........ get them vocals louder, get off that reverb or whatever the hell it is" ) So I usually use the ecm for my acoustic guitar and the on board mic for my vocals.  And yes they slam you sometimes. lol  It's ok that's how we learn.  Micro br is the way to got.  dont need nothing else.

Gotcha!! Yes you can sing direct in to audacity or some of the programs.  A great place to sing I just found out  is  http://www.singsnap.com/   A new friend just recently told me about this. I believe it is tied in with face book and basicly does karaokee type stuff. Have been watching some anc checking it out. And I see others are using mics into their computers.  Maybe someone there would have the answer you need.!!  Worth going at looking at anyway.
