i would just like to say how much i am enjoying this fest, the choices of song and the interpretations are so unexpected but exciting its like listening to new compositions rather than cover songs, they are coming at us fast and furious and it is getting hard to keep up but i have been blown away by all i have heard so far i will try and make time to listen to all the posts and leave comments. by gawd there is a lot of talent on this forum.

ok off to play catch up and see if 64guitars has got the fest player up to date.

imho this is by far the best fest to date and we have had some fantastic fests and this one has only just got underway. i am in awe of my fellow forum members.

Hi All. Same here, been busy plus my internet had been down for 3 or 4 days and I couldn't listen. I'll try and download all the entries to my mp3 player and listen in the car. I need to start my entry if I can find the time.

Can't keep up with anything these days but have picked out a few entries at random and they have been really good and original. Great stuff all round.

Sadly I lent my acoustic guitar to my brother and he still has it, so I am "plugged" only at present.

i am in the same boat as you nigel, only acoustic i have is my daughters £10 acoustic guitar bought from ikea (a swedish furniture retailer), which goes out of tune when you look at it the wrong way, but will bring it down fronm the attic to see if i can do anything with it.

Don't let the lack of an acoustic guitar stop you guys. You can use an electric. Just turn off the BR's amp simulation and effects. Or try mic'ing your electric guitar instead of plugging it in. With a bit of EQ it might sound "acousticy".

Or try a song without any guitar. Use a piano instead, or a harmonica, accordian, clarinet, ukulele, kazoo, jew's harp, or whatever. Or fill a bunch of beer bottles or pop bottles with varying levels of water/sand/etc and tap them or blow across the open top (the amount of water/sand determines the pitch). Use your imagination.

WOW ORH...they're excellent! what a recording...spot on Peter Murphy vocal! I though it was Devil Inside by INXS when it started (would also work for Halloween).

All very cool, 64G you are right but sadly I am also short of time and work presses too hard, as do other music projects.

Jim, I love Gus and Fin. Bela Lugosi's Dead is an all time fave and they did it justice. On the ukelele! I can't believe I am saying that.....

Geir

I've used both electric bass and electric guitar unplugged in the posts I've posted so far in this fest (not only, but I think it's absolutely doable to use what you've got ..... maybe I'll try that for my next .....::) ) c'mon Nigel !!! go for it !
