Hi All,

I'm a few weeks in with my MBR and have already had a few CARD READ ERRORS that I've read a little bit about on here.... it seems to be whenever I create a stereo track - ie bouncing a final mix.

Is this common?   I've read the 1.04 firmware thread.... but as Boss are not making available worldwide then it seems it mustn't be effecting everybody.

I have emailed Roland UK for support - but they didn't even reply

cheers

The card read error is very common, I think most mbr-owners have had them one time or another. The 1.04 update helps, I've done it. Also you should avoid filling the card too full (I try not to fill a 1GB card no more than 75% and have had no more errors since the upgrade) .... oh ... and try not running empty on the batteries, I think that have caused an error or two for me as well !!

post some songs soon !!!

cheers

Cheers... my card is a 1GB sandisk that is virtually empty.... I do run rechargebale batteries in it but always make sure the battery meter has 2 bars....

I'm surprised Boss haven't made the 1.04 update more generally available...

I assume the one on the german site has no issues with language?

cheers

Hi,

Please, see my post: https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=6071.0

I see a lot of soft comments in this forum regarding this problem, and I mean we don't have to be rude, but it is not fair that almost all of us, who use MBR as a hobby and anti-stress type of activity, should keep this recorder.

I ask Boss for a MASSIVE RECALL, because we have the right to get what we paid for. We paid for a QUALITY BOSS PRODUCT. If this product didn't undergo to massive testing before they launched to the market, is non of our busines. It's theirs, because they advertised and promise a good quality product.

I don't want a recorder that crashes all the time. Do you?

ac you probably havent spent enough time with your microbr to fall in love with it yet, my mbr crashes from time to time, not as often as my car , my pc or my laptop.
my mbr is now over two years old and has been through the wars how its survived this long is a miracle but if i drop it again and it doesnt wake up i would replace it tomorrow with a new one.
i love half life 2 i play it online but it crashes and crashes and crashes and crashes i think steam should have a massive recall but i doubt they will. i will continue to play half life 2 when i have the time.

i paid for a quality boss product and i got the biggest bargain of my life, you get more bangs to your buck with this little box of tricks than anything i have ever come across.

I agree 100%

MBR fun quotient = 1000
MBR frustration quotient = 10
