I finally got a new song finished, started this one before Christmas, finally found time this weekend to finish it up.  I recently had several vivid dreams that were kinda disturbing and left a lingering impression with me so I wrote this song about it.  I am not really sure what the song is all about, but that is the way it is with my songs.  Let me know what you think about this one.  All instruments played by me, recorded on my BR-1200, drums are from my BR-1200 (I ran them through my RE-20 space echo pedal to give them a bit more ambience).

From the opening guitar of this song, i knew it would be good, but it's even better than that...its a superb track. Brilliantly written and performed with some really nice subtle instrumentation.

Top marks for this one Dave!!

I hope you're pleased with this BB, I know I would be! There's so much excellent stuff going on here, but it all fits in so well and everything seems to get a little cameo. Very well constructed and executed, love the synth break down in the 'middle 8'. Gritter may agree with me that there is a touch of the mighty Ween about your stuff, especially the vocals. Boognish, mang.

Excellent work, Dave! I love songs that are open to interpretation. Terrific performance and arrangement. Very full textures - acoustic, electric, backing pads, etc. Impressive mix.

If I wrote about my dreams people would either laugh, or run screaming...  ;D

Thanks, I don't usually know what to think of a song of mine when first finished, but I think I am pleased.  I enjoy listening to this one on headphones thats for sure.  Thanks all, I really apreciate the comment about the bass guitar Geir, that is what put this song on the shelf.  I bought myself a bass just before Christmas and spent about 2 weeks playing it like a demon, trying to learn how to play the thing.  That is why I stopped working on this song, I couldn't stop playing that damn bass in any free time I had, its a work in progress I have a long way to go yet but it is all fun.  Lovely instrument, I have the bug now, so very different mindset than guitar.  And the drums, I am always trying to make the fake drums sound more real and so I was experimenting with some sucess.  I like the way they came out.  Next song I will tweek some more.
