dont know zz top but good stuff!, what bass setting have you got here?

galestermusic

Thanks strider, I'm playing through the MBR, next to the last setting. I have the reverb on 60 and thats it.

ZZ Top is 70's and 80's band, they did "Tush" and "Sharpdressed Man"

Something really strange happens and I can't figure it out at all.

I'll hear a song and sing with it or walk around the house and I'll sing a small verse of a song and my parents will hear me. They have asked me don't I sing? When I started this song....I said ok I'm really going to have a go at it and sing this. And then everytime I tried it's like my voice goes up an octive and its sounds bad. So I said hell with it, I'll paly it LOL

I'm still practicing with this machine. I'm remember usinf a fostex 4 track cassette recorder, around 83 - 86 lol long time ago.

Greg - I especially like the tone you're getting on the rhythm guitar part. Do you remember the settings/effects you used? Sounds like Billy Gibbon's signature sound has been finally captured.

Sorry, Billy.

Thanks FJ, I used SDNY I think lol, now I know the importance of writing everything down. I know I went in SDNY and adjusted the delay. I haven't got far enough yet to make my own custom sounds. But honestly, that trio, in my opinion, compliment each other. From Frank Beard's simple beat, Dusty's driving bass, and Bill's pinch harmonics, I think they all deliver that sound.

ZZ Top is one of my favorite bands of all time. Blue Jean Blues is on my desert island list.
Great job. Can't wait to hear more.

Sounds really great to me. There is some really impresive work on here. I'm still working out how to get the input level set just right on my BR.
