Hi Chaps just a quick question from a newbie i got all the software i need from 64guitars site to be able to mix on computer and all of it works atreat, thanks for the link Mr 64 it opens up a whole new place to mix and try new stuff , when i import into Audacity i get for seperate tracks in different Audacity windows rather than all four into one project !! i ended up copying these into one project so i can get round it but there must be a way of doing the whole lot at once me thinks !!

That is strange - I do know Audacity makes new windows when doing certaing things, but haven't seen it with import yet. I am learning the program myself, and I think it has a lot to offer. Could you list the steps you are making for the import. It would help troubleshoot.

I *think* you go to project then import audio. What you want to do is import tracks into your current project as opposed to importing into audacity (ie opening new projects.) If that makes sense.

Click on the headings and see the options, I think if you compare the options the right one seems right. But it's been a while since I've used audacity for anything other than exporting mp3 tracks from .WAV files.

64Guitars

  • Open Audacity.
  • From the File menu, select Import then Audio.
  • In the dialog window that pops up, browse to the folder containing your WAV files and select all of them.
  • Click the Open button. All of the selected tracks will be imported into the current (presumably empty) project.
