More from Eagles for Easy guitar. A sappy & mellow one. Has some fun new chords and makes me to try to sing higher. I'm back to my "old faithful" strum while sing pattern.  I hereby copyright the term "Random Diddling" to describe my mastering "technique".

I do have a Beatles for Easy guitar book that I will eventually move on to. . .

Yes, I sing and play guitar onto one track with the onboard mic while listening to a Micro BR drum pattern. It is fun to try to do this but hard to judge whether the vocal and guitar will end up balanced.  In some recordings with the mic I seem to get a small high pitched noise sound in the background. My current technique (last 2 songs) is to record in a small walk-in closet surrounded by hanging clothes, and virtually all the reverb is due to the micro BR processor.

I love it. I sing this one in the shower all the time. And now someone is singing it in a walk in closet!  :D Damn Eagles!!!

This is really good - It's put together very well. Could you explain "Easy Guitar" for me? I don't do covers much because I don't have the knack for it. Is that something that helps put you in the right track? I would like to know more.

Anyway, great job - Very cool!

Peace,

Mark

If you look for "Easy Guitar books", e.g. at music store or amazon.com etc., they just have "stripped down" versions of songs, with just lyrics and the most basic versions of the chords, in open position standard tuning, and with diagrams to show you how to fret the chords.  One can just use a capo to shift to a higher key to suit your voice.  They skip fancy intros or outros and solos.  They have the melody notes written on a music staff (I can't read that, but usually just roughly know the melody from having heard the song).  They give you the simplest way to play the song, which is good for a beginner like myself.  Some of the books (though not the eagles one) suggest simple strum patterns as well. Then you can build on it by layering improvised guitar accompaniments, bass, etc.
