I just got my BR and have been trying to use the built in mic but it doesn't seem to get the the volume up enough for me to hear well. I've read the manual but just can't figure it out, I think it's one of those thing that when someone tells me I'll go well duhh i should have thought of that. Until then can I get some help? many thanks in advance.

Hi Bigsky. Let me guess, you're in Montana.

Okay, built-in mic. You may know most of this, but I'll cover it all, just in case.

First, press the input button and then press TR2. This selects the built-in mic as your input source.

Make sure the cursor is under the dB location and adjust the setting with the VALUE, (+/-), buttons. When I'm recording acoustic guitar this way, I start out with it all the way up, (Sns: +8).

Exit out of there and check, (with your headphones on), if its picking anything up. You should be hearing your guitar, finger snaps, claps, whatever in the headphones.

Check the INPUT LEVEL dial on the right SIDE of the MICRO BR, (next to LINE IN/MIC). Maybe its turned down too low and not picking any thing up. Turn it up if you have to - all the way up if you have to.

If still no sound, check the VOLUME dial on the right SIDE of the MICROBR, and the MasterLevel, (UTILITY button). Both of those will effect how much signal is going into, and out of, the MICROBR.

As far as my experience goes, that should do it.

Hope that helps.
