Is there any reason I should not plug in my electric piano into the guitar/line in of the micro BR?  Its it possible to send the BR a signal so hot or low in frequency that it would break?

Should work best to patch from the line output(s) on your electric piano to the 1/8" stereo Line In input on the BR.  Start with the input sensitivity and input volume down low and gradually increase the sensitivity until just before you start to get some background hum.
