Hi all, been away for all too long.  I see lots happening here and lots of new talent!  Way too many songs to catch up on but will do my best.  So far I really like what I'm hearing!

Okay, I need some help with this tune.  I don't even know what to classify it on Soundclick as....

Maybe a blues ballad or country swing?   ::)

Anyway, to keep it interesting I doubled the leads since I couldn't decide which to use.  More of that physic jamming, do them separate and try to see later if they sound good together.  8)

I've got a few lyrics taken down and there's plenty of melody lines in the leads.  If anyone wants to give it a try, I'll post a backing track w/o the leads for you.

Here's a couple lines to get you thinking:

"I just don't know what I would do
If ever I'd stop loving you

The future isn't very clear
I just can't see it all from here - my dear"

Thanks for the listen and Happy New Year everyone!

Thanks much James, good to be back!  How about you trying your magic with this?  I know you'd take it to that next level for sure!

ok been experimenting with this one, i got a french feel from it so i attempted to write and sing in french, like i said ive been experimenting. i am currently mastering what i have done, not sure if it makes any sense or not, but i will post it as soon as i have mastered it.
please note i have been listening to jacque brel all day and i dont speak a word of french like i said an experiment.

could post the results in this thread (thought you could do that in collabs mmmm) so i started a new thread here https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=5645.0

Thanks James, interesting take on the tune!  Now I'm ever more confused about the genre of it.  :)  I'd prefer English of course since I don't know any French but you've nailed the melody and feel of what I had in mind.  I'll post the backing track a little later if you want to mess with it more.

Ha, been there myself....  :)  Here's the partially stripped tune:

If that doesn't leave enough for the vocals, I can take out more lead sections easy enough!
