Killer vox - killer acoustic. And all done on the MBR while traveling in a van! An amazing device, and with true talent it holds no bounds!

Peace,

Great playing!! The acoustic tone is really good.  How did you record it?  Do you have pickups on your guitar so that you could plug into the MBR, or did you use the built-in mic?  I would really like to duplicate that tone!

Well the story on the guitar is this. My girlfriends sister bought it when she was in collage some 20 years ago, it's a cheap beat up Tradition dreadnaught. She had it in her basement for like 15 years untouched and about 3 inches of caked on grime and dust and rusty strings, not to mention a broken nut and a lose bridge hehe. Anyways she was doing some fall house cleaning and decided to give it to me because she no longer had a use for it. I spent a couple hours cleaning it up, treating the fretboard, reglued the nut and bridge and new strings and humidified it for a week in a case, and now I take it with me everywhere just in case, for an old beater it has a pretty nice deep resonance.

As for recording, I am sitting on the bench in the back seat of my van, having a smoke and the microbr is hanging off the handle of the back of the drivers seat by my headphone cord, while pointed toward the soundhole of the guitar. I am using the onboard mic and no effects. after recording the 3 mono guitar tracks I mixed them using LN patch 04 live mix. thats it that all.

the accoustic sounds incredible, like a Martin recorded with a U87 or something. Great stuff. I agree with you Dmann, that perhaps you could have another crack at the vocals- would love to hear it!
