The quote of the year, and only 3 days left to get it in! I thought us Downeast Yankees had unmatchable deadpan, but that was killer. You totally rock, Bloob! (That was in the voice of Casey Casem doing Shaggy)  :D Just shoot me...

Dmann - Thanks for the drum breakdown. The fact you used the MBR is very impressive - I want to do that...

Peace,

Mark

Good stuff!  Nice to hear some more rockin' on this site - I really like the arrangement on this.  A couple people have mentioned Mettalica - but I would bet my Wheaties you lean more towards Megadeth, yes?  Either way, you rocked it.  Give us more!

thanks everyone I'm glad you all liked it :) and yes James Hetfield is a huge influence in all things music for me so I really take it as a compliment that you guys think I can even compare to him. I only started attempting to sing a short while after getting my MicroBR in November of 2008 so to get compliments on it is like the greatest feeling ever :) My new years resolution is to quit smoking and buy a 12 DVD singing success program hopefully I can break away from the Hetfieldish sound and come into my own style. As for guitar playing Dave Mustaine, Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, and Jimi Hendrix heavily influence my solo work so thanks for the compliments!

Blooby - I thought about the panning too, and your right it is a little out of whack during the main solo... I will have to go back and see what happened because it really doesn't sound as drastic when I was mixing it in Fruity Loops, but it's still all a learning process of discovering how one can mess with a mix to make stuff stand out. Thanks for pointing it out, I appreciate it.

Mach - I used my LTD Clockwork Zombie for the 2 guitar tracks in which I am using drop "D" tuning. I modded it with the new EMG chrome pickups, an 81 in the bridge and a 60 in the neck, which even though they are the same models as it came with, these chrome's really seem a lot brighter sounding to me.
The distorion and tone is from my ADA MP2 Preamp which I run stereo out into my T.C. Electronic G-Major and then stereo out into the line in on the MicroBR. I had the effects/patches turned off on the MicroBR so the guitar you hear is all direct from my rack rig. The Wah I used on the solos is the built in Wah filter on the ADA MP2 in which I am controlling with my Behringer FCB1010 MIDI Pedal board. The short harmonizing piece during the solo was accomplished using my Digitech Harmoy Man pedal. The bass I did with a Fernandes Tremor bass I bought 2nd hand for $100.00, in which I am also running it through my rack.

Excuse me, while I put my socks back on.  You rocked them off.  The guitars have so much testosterone I had to shave again after listening to this song.  Oh yeah.
