Well thanks very much to you all. you are very kind. Yes it's a bog standard recorder which my 8 year old has just brought home from school. Playing it took me back to my school days and music lessons. oh the joy of playing a smelly recorder which had been played by umpteen other snotty kids before me.
Ah Cuthbert a fellow love fan. Forvever changes is one of my all time fave albums.
i'm off for a glass of mulled wine fortified with a shot of rum :-)

Great job, this is fab.  Really good recording.  The reverb/echo is just perfect on the vocals, really nicely done.
