First of all, I would like to thank Mark (Launched) for laying down a sweet bass track on this tune. I know things are busy this time of year and I really appreciate him taking time to do this.

This is a cross between "Sound of Music" and "Superstition" (with some extra licks thrown in for good measure).

I hope it makes you smile this holiday season.

Here's  the lyrics:

 - My Favourite Things -

Les Pauls and SGs thru tube amplifiers
Half-stacks, Twin Reverbs and Dual Rectifiers
Old Stratocasters with scratches and dings
These are few of my favourite things

Big Muffs and wah-wahs and BR recorders
Jam rooms that look like a re-run of "Hoarders"
Neck wax and nut grease and heavy gauge strings
These are few of my favourite things

E-bows and capos and new Grover tuners
Ernie Ball Earthwoods, and GHS Boomers
Point 50 Dunlops and Peavey Valve Kings
These are a few of my favourite things

When the band bites
And the song stinks
When it sounds like crap
I simply remember my favourite things
And then I don't feel so bad

Single-coil hot rails and double hum-buckers
12-inch Celestions that make your ass pucker
Loud volume pedals that make your ears ring
These are a few of my favourite things

Amps on "11" and distortion pedals
Southern-fried blues rock and "old school" Death Metal
Ice cold Budweiser and Buffalo wings
These are a few of my favourite things

When the band bites
And the song stinks
When it sounds like crap
I simply remember my favourite things
And then I don't feel so bad

Home-made recordings and collaborations
Songs that don't get played on radio stations
The feeling I get when Stevie Ray's axe sings
These are few of my favourite things

It ain't pretty being easy.

This song will get many, many listens from here.  Great, holy crap, how great.  How do you get that bass so deep Mark.  What kind of a bass is it?  I wish I had your bass playing skills, that is deadly.  Van, what can I say, brilliant in every way.  I love it!!!!!!

Loved this parody - should be the theme song to this site.  Loved that you threw in Budweiser and Buffalo wings!

This is the most awesome of Parody songs. Vanncad, great work on the song.

Mark that bass line was off the damn hook. It completely fit the entire song.

This my friends is a winner.
