this is a wwork in progress and the first take, bodie is currently adding to this and i am going to send my vox for him to mix.
as usual bodie (dave sickler) has created all the music and i have written the lyrics and sang.

lyrics on this one are a bit abstract from my usual efforts, normally i dont explain orr even know what a lyric is about, well this one is about looking at a piece of art or painting, not fully understanding what its about but being knocked of your feet by it, something i experienced when seeing van gough's sunflower in the flesh so to speak, was told to go and see it but i said ive seen it in books, was told no you have to go see it, so i did. anyone who has stood in front of it will know that seeing it in the flesh that whats on the canvas can not be conveyed with printed version.

anyway im gibbering here is the tune and you can hear ourr other collaborations here www.soundclick.com/deaddivansjam

Wow, this is impressive. The music really paints a picture of what the lyrics are saying. I especially like the dreaminess of the chorus.

You know what really impresses me (among other things) about your stuff is how rhythmically tight it is. Everything lines up perfectly in this song. The bass (which is awesome btw) is dead on with the drums, the harmonized guitars in the chorus sound like one instrument. It's all just perfect.

This is one of my favorite ORH songs!

Come on, you know you want to go there...

cheers rick but the credit for the music is all down to dave, he is unhappy with the bass  he loaned his bass guitar to a friend so  used keyboards for the bass, me i cant tell

Very cool song guys (Dead Divan's Jam) !!!  Never seen this painting in real life, but your music gave me the feeling I had at seeing some other artistic works; the symmetry, the imagery, mesmerizing, hypnotizing, the shapes, patterns, & colors !!!  Great lyrics and singing James!!! & mesmerizing music Bodie!!!

I totally get what you're saying.  The song is pretty good.

I was knocked out by Van Gogh when I saw a couple of his works in St.Louis.  Unbelievable.  I was moved and I'm NEVER moved.  But, yes, you HAVE to stand in front of his work to "get it".

Holy sh*t, bro!!
