Yep! Try using LAME...I know the name sounds "lame", but I have used a lot of encoders and this one is the best I've ever used...it's fast & FREE! It has many options and you can also decode without a lot of degradation. You may have to download the Fraunhofer codec depending on playback with certain mp3 players.
