I don't feel comfortable sliding in a backing track on any of the boards. It isn't an original, and it isn't a cover (at least not the way I play).

IMO, backing tracks could and *should* be listed in collaborations. As they are intended for two ore more people to input. Collaboration defined as two or more people involved in the track vs two or more authors. So lets say I write a song and ask for lead guitar or a singer... it seems to me to be a collaboration even if I write the song.

Obviously a forum heading for backing tracks would be awesome, especially useful to encourage more people to look them over and maybe use them. I love it on the fenderforum site when someone posts a backing track and a few days later there are five or six different versions up there. You can really tell how creative different members are and how different the final products can be.

The idea is to create a section, much like the post your work or home recording sections, fully dedicated to music knowledge. What boards would it have and what would it be called?
