I have been practicing playing my acoustic guitar (Epiphone DR-500M), Telecaster MIM standard, Squier short scale bass, and singing and recording with the Boss MicroBR. I did this tune from the Eagles for Easy Guitar songbook (has only simplified chords and lyrics). I'm an untrained amateur though I have managed to learn to strum acoustic and sing at the same time.

Thanks for the feedback. I remastered with the vocal/guitar track lower and also turned on the limiter (0 dB). A disadvantage of recording vocal/guitar at the same time is that I can't adjust them separately afterwards, but it is more fun for me to try to sing and play together and I actually find it easier remember the chord changes when singing along. One question about the MicroBR: is the only way to fade a song at the end to quickly push the down arrow button to lower the master volume control as it is being mastered?

It takes a while to get all the levels right.  I still mess them up,  but this is still a great post and one of my favorite Eagles songs.

A better way is to just record through the end of the song at normal recording level while mastering, then export the mastered track pair to a stereo WAV file and do the fades in Audacity or some similar program. This allows you to do a much smoother, controlled fade. You can also trim the ends of the song in Audacity and export it to an MP3 file.

Okay to cover...not sure why you'd want to though...

One of my fave songs done very, very nicely. The guitars are beautifully done. I would push the vocals back a little in the mix, with a little more reverb. But it's your song, man. Good to hear this.

Well done Des sounds good,It is hard to get the vocal right or so I find It always sounds good until I have completed it then I find my voice is to high, well done.....Alex :)
