Micro BR Interference

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this same "issue"...

When I bought my Micro BR, I asked for a 1/4" stereo cable that I could use to plug into my amp from the "line out" plug on the Micro BR.  "No problem...what length to you need?  3-feet?", asked the salesman.  Hmm....3-feet seems a bit short I thought, what's the next length?  I decided to go with the 5-foot length.

I was going to place the Micro BR on top of my amp as a convenient location.  I soon discovered that the Micro BR must emit signals from Planet Pluto (or whatever they're calling these giant moons these days) because I was getting some nasty feedback or interference from it anytime I was near my amp.  So with the 5-foot cable, I was able to place my Micro BR far enough away from the amp on a stand which eliminated the hum, interference, or extra-terrestrial messages coming out of it.

Point being...I'm glad I got the 5-foot cable.  Just a friendly tip!

Could it be a possible ground issue with the outlet or the amp itself?
Are ya using a 3 prong adapter by chance?

I run the Micro BR on batteries.

My amp runs directly off the electrical outlet.

No other device has ever given me feedback, hum, or interference like the Micro BR does.  It's not a big deal, but would have been if I had to keep the Micro BR next to my amp.

Seems odd still-Do you hear the interference in the headphone jack in the mbr or are you using monitors?
An electrical outlet thats not grounded properly will cause noise-not mention is unsafe
possibly a shielding issue in the cords used-
Anyway, no harm if it's far enough away -i guess
btw-What amp are you using?

Page 4 of the Micro BR manual says:

Placement

• Using the unit near power amplifiers (or other
  equipment containing large power transformers)
  may induce hum. To alleviate the problem, change
  the orientation of this unit; or move it farther away
  from the source of interference

I'm telling you guys...my Micro BR is trying to communicate with someone or something from another galaxy.  3 or more feet away from my amp, and its a gem!  Any closer...and weird things happen!

Point being...get a 5-foot or longer cable.
