How to stop echoing

Hi all im new to this forum and i was just wondering if someone can help me. I just got a boss br-900 and when i record vocals and then play them back there is an echo, can someone plz tell me how to get rid of this?

From the Boss Knowledge Base:

Removing the Default Input Reverb

Products: BR-900CD, BR-600, BR-864, BR-532
By default, a small amount of reverb is applied to the input.

To remove the reverb:

1. Press the LOOP EFFECTS button.

2. CURSOR to "[REV]", and press ENTER.

3. CURSOR left to IN Send.

4. Turn the TIME/VALUE wheel clockwise to reduce the value to zero.
