Thanks for the comments.  I knew if I spoke of a ridiculously self-centered and irresponsible musical purchase, I'd get all the support I needed from this forum.  I say thank you again.

Our opening noodly mellow jam from last week, complete with scatting (the singing-type and not fecal matter by design, but feel free to pass judgment).  I re-recorded my part with the new Ibanez (with the humbuckers in the recording). I love its clean tones. Getting a dirty tone is more of a chore as it gets a bit woofy, but it sounds good if I roll off the bass a bit.

I would just like to state unequivocally that if the others guys playing knew I posted this, they would hang me.
