I know this sounds stupid, but I'm genuinely curious about this.

If you make a sandwich, does the bread have to face the same way?  For instance, if you look at the piece of toast below, would you make a sandwich with the rounded top mated with the squared-off bottom from another piece of bread?

Just trying to determine how obsessive-compulsive I am behaving.

Oh Blooby,  You brightened my day!!  I don't think your obsessive or compulsive. LOL  My bread has to match flat to flat , round to round.  And my money has to face all the same direction!!  And I have to have my beer or pop can in a cozy facing a certain way.  So  you see....... maybe I am too!

to be obsessively compulsive about sandwich shapes  and toast you should trim the crust of and cut them into identical squares or triangles

I have never not made a cheese (or any other sammich) where the round bits and flat bits don't match.  In fact I make my sammiches the way the bread was in the loaf ... they can't get out of order.

I have to put my guitar strap in my guitar a certain way.

I usually orientate my beer can so the hole is facing my mouth.
