Few question about BR-900

I'm thinking of getting a Br 900 soon and would like to ask a few questions.

Can i hook it up to my boss me 50 pedal so i can use the effects on it to record?
how does this thing actually record guitar, do you plug it straight in to the br-900?
what are the phantom ports for?
Is it worth the money?

Thanks

-Yes you can hook up the me50. You can connect it to either Line In or Guitar in. The BR900 has pretty much all the FX that are in the me50 already built in so there's no immediate need to do so. I do believe it's best to connect it to GTR-in and then use the 900's Speaker emulation FX.
-Yes you can record guitar by just plugging it into the GTR-in jack port and selecting a nice effect on the BR itself.
-the Phantom power is to supply electricity to microphones that need it (Condenser type mic's) If you don't need it, switch it off.
-YES

NFC - Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations if you are about to purchase the Br900. I concur with the advice offered by SDC, and further, in reality you will have very little need for external FX. Oh yes, they are handy to have, but sometimes it hardly seems worth the trouble of hooking everything up when you've so many guitar & bass effects already loaded into the 900, 120 I think the last time I checked. All these effects are easy to modify to suit your own particular taste, and then you can save your modifications to 'User Patches' (again, 120 empty places to save your own sounds) ready to use again and again as required.

However, to answer your question. You will need a minimum of 2 guitar leads to connect your ME50 to the BR900: one from guitar to ME50, and one from ME50 to BR900.

The XLR mic imputs CAN provide phantom power if required, but this needs to be turned on from within the menus of the 900.

Is it worth the money?  ;D Oh yes, emphatically. Listen to some of the offerings on the BR900 thread to see what can be achieved with this machine. As others have said, if music is your passion, then this really is a life-changing purchase. Good luck.  ;)
