I like this trawling of the archives. Good post. Someone probably asked this already but...what was the rhythm machine of choice during this archival time period?

on this song, one of my first on a pc, i used midi'ed drums, in the past i used the casio sk5's onboard cheapo drums, at one point i had an alesis hr16 drum machine but loaned it out never to be seen again.

my favourite drum machine was my mums tumble drier. i used to have a sony walkman with built in stereo mics, it was really heavy and sturdy. so would put a tape in it hit record and wrap gaffer tape round it. then throw it in the tumble drier for a few minutes for an instant drumtrack.
