Here's a track i'm working on. This is just the acoustic track,i'm hoping to add drums, bass ect later. Having a bit of trouble with audacity though?! Keeps cutting the sound to my tracks after a few seconds, anyone else had this problem  ???

Very nicely done.  Kinda complex little patterns there.  I bet that would sound deadly if you played the same pattern on electric with a nice clean amp setting too.  So much you can do with something like this, so many ways to take it.  If you did nothing but sing over the top it would sound like a Nick Drake song, so much potential here for sure.

Very nice ride. Nice changes, tone.

I have not had Audacity cut the sound.
In Audacity you might find the right EQ to minimize the changes squeaks.
They add to the ambiance but only up to a certain volume IMO.

In any case I really enjoyed the song.

This track on it's self is already more worth then just one listen. Can't wait what you do with the rest to fill in. Controlled playing !

Man, this could be stellar. I agree with BB that there is a Nick Drake vibe to this, and Nick Drake wouldn't be adding any bass or drumse... just soft, heartfelt vocals. It's your song, but this is so good that it works as it stands now. With vocals it would be even greater. Really beautiful stuff.

This reminded me a tag of "Goodbye, Blue Sky" by Floyd.  Really lovely playing.  Wonder how this would sound with a flute or violin floating over the top.

A very enjoyable listen with a few unexpected chords.

This is very unique!   Haven't heard anything quite like this before.  I like it!  Has a very haunting feel to it.

Ferryman_1957

Agree, very unique. I was expecting some rocking out heavy metal and I got this very haunting piece with some really clever finger picking and a nice change towards the last part of the song. You could take this in many directions, all of which would be very interesting. looking forward to seeing what you can do with it.

Cheers,

Nigel
