Hi everyone on bossbr community,

http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8403343

This is my modest collaboration with mybabybluues : I put a solo on his cover of "six blade knife" on acoustic guitar.

I have downloaded his video, extract the sound and convert it into mp3 file, have imported this mp3 file on the micro br, and played my electric guitar part "live".
I used a little the AB function to erase some little mistakes of one or two seconds here and there, the rest is a "one take" session.
I used a "charactere blond" pedal from tech 21 to have a sound of a Fender amp between my guitar and  the micro br.

original cover by mybabybluues is here :

You've got the knopf-feel. To me it seems you played a few things with a bottle neck, am I right ?

Good job. The record just has this authentic feel as Oskilo already said.

SharksDontSleep

Good song. I'd love it even more if the backing track had a been better recorded. It's maybe a bit too breathy. Shame you can't source the original.
However, failing that, the job you've done here is excellent.

Very Knopfler.

Thank you Osckillo and Satchwood for your nice comments!!!

Thank you Covermark!
I am not playing with a bottleneck, but I use very often the bends...
and perhaps I am not perfectly in tune, so you have this impression!!!

Thank you g1ngerjack!
you're right, I have not succeed tu use the wav format, the sound should have been better. the original source is always better than only mp3.

well done steelguitar. Here's the player for the song:

fabulous touch is those solos. the pedal added warmth to your licks. But everything is in your unique fingerpinking. One day people will say to Mark Knopfler that he sounds like you  ;D
Can't wait for a new collab with you... and noone will complain about the quality of the backers.
Fancy trying the pirate song contest?
cheers
