Thank you all for the kind comments, glad you liked it.

I was trying out a new technique, for me that is (been listening to some Kaki King ... amazing guitarist ... and felt like trying to do something like in the same style as she does .. I know I'm far from what she can do .. but it at least made me try something new).

It's a combination of Two-hand tapping and strumming and some fingerpicking thrown in here and there ... I hope I get time to redo it soon with some better sounding vox and some variation in the drums ... I might try putting the vox in another pitch too .. Speed it up ? .... well I could try ... but don't know if my aging fingers are up to it :)

This song also reminded me of a technique I came up with a couple of years ago that I haven't heard anyone do yet. I'll try to develop it so I can use it in a song. I sure feel like composing again thanx to you guys!!!

It's incredible Geir. What's the tuning you used?

Like James, the hairs were standing up on the pack of my neck. It hits me on a really deep level. I'm going to have to sit quietly for a few moments to assimilate what I have just heard.

The mega-reverb really works here.  The vocals are atmospheric, but I wonder if they take away from what's happening otherwise.

The drums are phasing.  Was that intentional, or were left on after they were mixed down?  Either way, it sounds pretty cool.

It reminds me of a cross between Pierre Bensusan and Steve Tibbets.

Cool ending as well.

Great, great post.

Wow Geir,

Finally getting around this tune.

The guitar sounds amazing. Very full and rich. The spastic playing has a really heavy mid-east vibe to it.
The haunting vox in the background - incredible. Like others have said - very mystic.

Recording outside in the cold? You are a true artist! Maybe I should throw my BR600 in my ice shanty with me and lay down some tracks while I'm jigging for perch!  ;D

Very cool! (no pun intended).

Thanks for posting this Geir. It's good to hear some more music from you.
