Don't worry about how amateur you feel, be at home with the rest of us amateurs.
I've only just recently started playing again, after many years of inactivity. I was never really that good in the 1st place, but these little digital recorders allow you to put down ideas with semi professional ease.

Ok the Micro-BR does need a little perseverance with it's multi function buttons, but the outcome is often surprisingly good.
