Really good song & really well performed.
Love the stereo work & I also love the vocals just hte way they are.
Great bass work too.
For me the production sets this apart from the also rans. Tell me ... It's not all done on a Micro-BR is it?

Cool 8)

oh yea, all on the BR. It's more simple than it sounds.....
             double track accoustic ryth
             single 'lead' accoustic
             electric bass
             cheesy mono synth strings
             shaker
             double track vocals
                  ..... er, thats it!

Henny, this is another fantastic track, very inventive and different. I love that rhythm effect you are using. Your bass playing is superb as well, great stuff. The overall feel is excellent and I love your vox on this - any chance of posting the lyrics?

I do think the mix has got a little crowded, there's a lot going on and it does make it hard to make out the vocals. There's quite a lot of bottom end when I listen through my good quality headphones. Perhaps just tweaking the eq on some of instruments might help the clarity a bit, but it's not a major issue. This is a very infectious number which is worming its way inside my head right now.

Cheers,

Thingy is my lonley friend
I am his only friend
He lives beneath the garden shed
In a world thats full of dread
Please leave me alone

Come now Thingy show your face
Come on out of your hiding place
Lets play beneath the stormy sky
Oh what a night for Thingy and I
Please leave me alone

Let him cry and then cuddle him
Let him moan and then mother him
Let him cry and then cuddle him
Let him moan and then smother him

Oh let him cry
Oh let him moan

I write your name with your blood
The letters are nine feet tall

something like that anyway!

Thanks, and what can I say - they just add to the sense of "different" about this track. Very cool indeed.

Geir

I've been quite busy a while and missed a lot of good stuff. I try to catch up .. but it's impossible.

BUT .. I realised I've missed a lot of hen music, so yesterday I downloaded every song of yours from soundclick and

WHO NEEDS "THE MAN" !!!!!!

Your music is brilliant and unique.

Love that "busy" bass and .... well just about everything about this song !!!

Glad Geir bumped this. I too missed this.

Great song! I don't think you've made a bad song yet. That's including your "1 Minute of My Morning"  too! ;)
