Quote from: andrewh on November 21, 2009, 05:36:32 PMTurned my BR on this evening and there is a huge crack on the screen, which is resulting in only half of the display being visable!! We are supposed to be recording a new song tomorrow, so it may prove to be a bit of a challenge now!

I think I may have dropped it one too many times!!. >:(

Looks like I may be joining ORH in purchasing a new one :(

After having dropped mine many times and being rough on it, I now wrap my rascal with quality rubber. It saved my ass once.
Also, when I drop it now, it softly bounces a couple times instead of making the sickening "Whack!!! sound.

An MBR was saved today!! Excellent!

Might have to invest in one of them Mark, by BR is now pretty much unusable, so have ordered a new one today. I have had mine two and a half years, and certainly got my moneys worth out of it, it just couldn't take any more crashes to the floor unfortunately!!

I'm reading a lot about MBRs crashing to the floor.  I just want to recommend the latex cover that you can buy.  It isn't going to help when it hits the deck but it does cut down on the slippage factor.

I would definitely get one, Andrew - They are fairly cheap, and are engineered well enough so your MBR will be just as usable.

It actually does cushion the blow to a fall quite nicely, Tony. As good as can be expected anyway. I've had one for a few months now, and it works great.
