where is the upload song bar below the text box? it ain't there like it tells you in the "how to... " bit. how do i get the "songs" i've caught on here... help!

You're not being thick, we underwent a slight change to the forum on November 1st. bossbr.net is no longer hosting music like it used to, so we need an external host for uploading music. There are a couple threads that describe what people have tried to do... but they are long.
