Hmmm.. I dropped my MBR a bunch of times, and I got that message before. Usually the problem got fixed after I took the card out, ported all my songs on the hard drive, reinitialized and then put the songs back.

I'm wondering if you should spray compressed air in the SD socket or maybe clean it. If I remember correctly, you don't use USB and put the card directly in your PC - Maybe the contacts got a little dirty.

Other than that, I would have no idea...

Hope you can fix it, bro.

Man, that sucks. If you have already tried to blow the dust out, maybe one of the contacts are dirty. Not sure how to clean it other than a q-tip and rubbing alcohol, but a google search showed some card slot cleaners:

If I recall correctly, you use mostly 2GB cards. Try the (128MB?) card that came with your Micro BR. If that doesn't work, then there's probably something wrong in the SD card slot of your Micro BR. Maybe dirty contacts, as Mark suggested, or a bent/broken contact. You could try putting a piece of tape on the top side of the SD card (opposite the side with the contacts) in hope that it will push the card contacts closer to the contacts in the Micro BR's card slot. If all of the above fails, then you'll probably have to send it to Roland for repair. The warranty is three years in the U.K., so it shouldn't cost you.

tried the tape thing , now all i get is no card. that applies to all my cards. was speaking to a colleague who repairs pcs, he reckons its bent or broken contacts, he has offered to have a look at it but i think i'll contact roland in the meantime, unfortunately i cant recall when i bought it and dont have a receipt
