It has to be close to 30 years ago, I caught Johnny at a local theater, the opening acts were Roy Buchannon and Ronnie Montrose.   

Johnny tripped head over heels on  a stage monitor - did a face plant, managed to arch his back, protect the Thunderbird and did not miss a note.  You should have heard the crowd roar.

One hell of impressive night for a 18 year old.
