Blooby

Launched has inspired me not to do my normal disclaimer except to say the way I start my solo at 5:40 has got to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard.  I must make it my ring tone.

Another live recording from my living room by The Museum of Oddities.

Peace.

Wow Blooby, I am impressed.  This is just to cool!!.. Loved your solos and singing. Haven't heard this for ages.

Well, I'll have to say that this was a premium 8 minutes worth of build up. A performance people would pay to come see, and we get it free of charge - How cool is that? Your blues chops are stunning, and your singer gets it on pretty good in the last minutes. I love how this tune played out - Sweeet!!

Thanls LG, Wiley, and Launched. I am much less comfortable in minor keys, so I truly appreciate the compliment about the guitar playing. Whenever we play this tune, there is a sense of unease on my part all the way through. I'm working on it.

My compadre Everett (with the humbuckers) is the one who really cuts loose, though, especially in the second round of solos.

Your second solo may come in a little wild and off the wall a bit, but overall your solos are really fun and inventive, lots of good runs and it is really cool the contrast between your solos and the humbucker dude.  His are more traditional blues riffs, while yours are very quirky but highly enjoyable.  Not traditional blues which gives this peice such charm, its a real nice contrast.  I would call your solos space-blues.  The singer has a great voice for this.  Wouldn't it sound great to get that Hammond organ in on this one, that would sound fantastic (I really love organ on blues like this).  All in all, this was very well done, very enjoyable, it surprised me at times (your solos Blooby in particular) in a very good way, this was totally impressive stuff.  You would blow away 80% of all the blues bands out there touring around all the blues joints.  I love it.  It is a really great version of a very beloved and much covered classic.  You guys kept it close enough to the original to satisfy the purists, yet gave it your own special twist.  Great job, fantastic really.

No disclaimers necessary at all.  Absolutely loved it.  Really refreshing to hear guitar solos in blues songs that aren't just the usual pentatonic stuff.
