Here's one I wrote yesterday. I gave it the name "Sneaky" only because the change in the middle sounds a bit like soundtrack music for someone sneaking up on someone else. The change I speak of sounds a bit like the song is over at a 1:30, then it goes into this weird change that almost doesn't fit with the rest of the song, but I like it for this reason, it sneaks up on you.

I sometimes wonder if I'm a little tone deaf, it all sounds good to me, but I usually us a scale and chord book to help guide me through the songwriting process, just to ensure it sounds theoretically correct. I didn't do that with this piece, so please let me know if it sounds "off".

It's fair game for anyone who would like to add something to it. It demands lyrics imo.

P.S. whats up with the new mp3 upload using Soundclick? kind of seems like a pain in the arse. The other ways was much easier... or am I missing something? [soundclick]8316268[/soundclick]

In the meantime you got a good groove going on here.

Thanks Wiley!

For me this one is a little more "main stream" so-to-speak, but hey, it was fun. I have found I become inspired by the simplest drum beat. Often I'll sit down just jam to the built-in drum machine on the MBR and often find myself in the middle of writing a new song.

Really great groove here.  This kind of easy flowing groove is something I struggle with.  It is the base of a very cool song for sure.  I really love your clean guitars.  Chord-wise it all fits together very well, it just needs some more filling out.

I agree Bluesberry it does need some filling out. One thing that would help tremendously would be some vox.

As always, interesting and melodic. I love the unexpected chord directions and tones you produce - always a pleasure and inspiration to listen to. And the big change in the song is magnificent. Some interesting scales going on there - and that melody in the second part sounds very Will Sargent to my ears. A big compliment! Excellent stuff.

Very Melodic and a Pleasure to listen too!!

Would love to hear some lyrics on this.

Erik,

This is definately a song that does something with me. You should add some vox with it to complete it. I appreciated your invitation to add some extra tracks as you find below.
