I could not resist, and was listening to PJs rockfest backer and this is what came out from the "darkside of my brain"...

PJ, I hope you like it - I had a blast trying to come up with some lyrics...  I changed it several times.

I was not keeping count of #s of bars so kind of ran out of leads room...

Enjoy!

Yeah Diego, this is really cool.  Put your vocals louder man, they are really good.  This is rocking, good job.  Los Lobos feel for sure.

Diego, what a cool idea! A tribute to PJ herself. Very true to the spirit of Rockfest, and great lead guitar. Very different take on this song. I like the way itbreaks down at the end, that worked for me!

I hope PJ's hubby doesn't get jealous! I learned a lot about PJ from this song....

Cheers,

Nigel

I changed the lyrics several times... it all started as a story of Wiley chasing grouse and other creatures in the Sand Hills, but kept coming up with other things - I had originaly 5 verses including singing w/ the cardinals, Illinois, and the tapes we heard - mud wrestling, Long Pine Days, and on and on, but then I realize was running out of room to add some lil' leads.  so, I cut and pasted - and still run out of room - not enough bars.....  Sorry about spilling the beans on the name --- I figured since your pool of friends from the BR site are adding up in your facebook wall that you would not mind...

As you can hear I'm not very good with lyrics, but had fun putting this together for you and to share as part of the RockFest.

"A tribute to the queen of MicroLand"!!!

Thanks BB, Nigel, and Geir!  I had fun putting this together for PJ and the Rockfest.

I don't get to crank my strat very often, so it was good to get the cobwebs shaking a bit!

Great tribute tune, indeed.
