Here is my take on the femcam challenge. It was done over a long period in very short bursts. It was written quickly and everything is a first or second take. Vox are recorded with the onboard mic, in my car, in the garage. This is the first song I have ever written and/or recorded with vocals so they are a little shaky and it is a pretty big deal for me to post this.  There are lots of mistakes but I plan to revisit this. Hope you enjoy!

Oh, this is a good one! A fine job, and not even due to it being put together quickly - It's just a great tune!!

The vocals sounded very melodic and soulful - Excellent, and I'm impressed it was your first run. Very tight production - Very tight playing.

I get a QOTSA vibe with this - Love it!!

Keep 'em coming - This was awesome!! One of the best FEMCAM challenges I've heard!

Later,

Mark

KRG - Quite a little belter this. I wouldn't change anything, nor would I revisit and fiddle. The song stands perfectly well now, so leave well alone. It reminded me at first of Creedence Clearwater Revival, but then took on unique flavours of its own. Vocals not shakey at all (In fact if I were you, I'd remember just where you recorded them, you may be revisiting to re-create the ambience). Don't know how you achieved that pulsating Bass sound? (If it were something of your own devising, I'd get on the phone to Boss-Pedals; because after hearing it, I can imagine many musicians wanting to have that sound themselves. Good guitars, good production, good job all round. Well done.

I don't know what you were worried about, this is just great!! I like the bass line also.  And the tone on your guitar is sweeet!!!!  vocals are outstanding.  I don't see anything wrong with this. I wouldn't change a thing.

Sounds Great to me also.
I wouldn't change a thing....
Nice song, great singing, and awesome guitar licks!

nothing is real... So theres nothing to get hung about!

Thanks all. The distorted guitars are my Les Paul through the texas strat tone. The bass is just the regular bass sound from the br. It may be the bass is old and junky with strings that are at least 10 years old on it. If I revisit it it will be to clean up mistakes and do some harmony vox in places.
