I posted this song back in the spring and i've decided to repost it for a possible collaborative piece. I want to see if anyone might be interested in helping me complete it.... write bass and/or lyrics for it. As for the bass, I've given it a shot and am having trouble, perhaps the guitar is too complex for my mediocre bass skills, I don't know, but I've found it difficult.

As for the vocal melody I imagine it following the opening guitar "melody" the quick heavy strumming of the E5 -> to the plucking Gmaj7; Da da-da-da....Dow dow dow. Then the vocal melody changing to something more melodic during the change; Fmaj7 -> to the ...um, shit I don't even know what that chord is, sorry. G something? It's a Emaj shape but on the third fret starting on the E string.

Nigel? Jim? Anyone is welcome.

If not, then I at least hope you enjoy the song as it is.

I like it...sounds like firehose. I bet Mike Watt could add a nice bass line for you!  ;)

Oh Mike Watt would kill it. Should I ask him? haha. Thanks, thats a hell of a comparison. I'm gonna check out that Talk Talk album btw as soon as i get back from the gym. Thanks for the recommendation.

Erik,

I love this, a little different to some of your other stuff (perhaps a bit more "jagged"). I would love to add some bass but it will be a while (I'm talking weeks here) before I can get to it as I am so busy at work and have a couple of other things I have to finish first (Tharek, I haven't forgotten our collab....). So if anyone else wants to add bass (Mark, Flash, Ted?) please feel free. Otherwise I'll definitely do it when I can.....

Cheers,

Nigel
